The 2015 NHL All-Star Game drew slightly lower numbers at a 0.9 overnight rating on NBCSN Sunday, down from 2012 and 2011 (1.0).  The first All-Star-Game in three years did have the highest overnight rating for a non-playoff NHL telecast on the channel since the 2012 All-Star-Game. The game was played for the first time in Columbus, Ohio, at Nationwide Arena, which just missed out on our list of the best hockey arenas.

The NHL used fan voting for the game, and there were 5 Chicago Blackhawks voted in. The coaches were Peter Laviolette of the Nashville Predators and Darryl Sutter of the Los Angeles Kings.

Ryan Johansen of the hometown Columbus Blue Jackets won the All-Star Game MVP. But it was the bright young stars that stole the show, including Filip Forsberg of the Nashville Predators, who is one of the best Swedish hockey players. There was a controversial offsides call that was not called late in the game, which led to a pivotal goal.
